Personally i'd try for an 8200 based mobo for an htpc but the 780G & 790GX make a decent substitute (no 7.1 audio over hdmi, gotta use the optical).

The Asus M3A78-EM is the better of those two Matx boards. And the 7750 BE processor runs stable with reduced voltage.
