Bioware doubling Montreal employees

Increasing from 27 to 55 people may not seem like much, but...

Edmonton-based BioWare is doubling the number of employees at its Montreal offices, with the ultimate goal of creating an autonomous studio that will design its own video games.

That is so cool that one of my favorite games is made by a company in my hometown. It is so rare to see anything to do with Edmonton on an international website.

No, it's not. The Montreal studio has not developed any full games yet. They apparently worked on parts of Mass Effect 2.
