For some reason or another, I got excited and decided it was a good idea to go sprinting out of my room. The cable for my lovely A500s got caught between my toes. I flew 5 feet out my door with the cable nestled tightly between my first two toes, while my headphones flew 5 feet to the floor.
Now, the sound is terrible. It's compressed into a ball of sound that sits really far away from my point of reference and all detail and bass response is lost. I would normally think that one driver is messed up, but the sound is the same in each ear, so this leads me to believe that something with the cable or the plug is messed up.
Think it's likely that the cable is the cause of all of my woes? If so, how would I go about fixing it / getting someone else to fix it for me? How much would this cost?
Depending on the cost, I may just get some new headphones, so I'll start a separate thread about that.
