Buying off ebay which display 2005 or 2007

the monitor will be used for everything, i plan on watching TV(through a tuner in the computer), movies(through a dvd player in the computer), x-box(either plugged into the monitor or video card) gamecube( same), and computer gaming (bf2, fear, etc)

both are relatively the same price on ebay off some pretty credible sellers(according to approval rating and reviews)

but im reading about banding issues on the 2007, and some other problem on the 2005...so the question is..what do i get?

actually the guy that is selling the 2005 is also selling the 2007..so an extra link, 20 dollars more but he is saying there is a warranty with this

also any suggestions on another site to pick these up for around the same price will be helpful

and is there any similiar monitors that are the same size and specs that arent having problems from another company? right now i have a samsung lcd

I have a pair of 2007fp's on my desk and use them for gaming on my pc and my xbox 360

They are amazing, I would recomend that if only because it works perfect for what I use it for, and it is much more professional looking than the 2005, it just has a cleaner more expensive look then the rounded cheap plastic of the 2005.

i really dont care about the casing, i care more about getting a monitor with horrible banding i guess, thats what the theme of the month is atleast

I just got the 2007WFP straight from dell for $352 taxed and shipped a couple days ago. The price went up right now but it will probably be around $350 or lower soon. Also if you have a problem with the banding, dell will send you one with an updated firmware then you just send back the one you have in the box the updated one came in, shipping should be prepaid.

Just an fyi before you go spending $400 through ebay on a monitor that you can potentially get cheaper straight from Dell.
