 I just replaced 2GB (2x1) CL5 with 4GB (2x2) of G.Skill F2-6400CL4D-4GBPI-B on my Asus P5Q Pro. I had to manually set the BIOS DRAM settings to DDR2-800 CAS 4-4-4-12. I am going to upgrade to VISTA 64 bit and would like to add another of the same RAM kit since my MB will support 8 GB and the RAM is relatively cheap. If I do, will I be able to run the 8 GB at the same DDR2-800 CAS 4-4-4-12?

Yes, the only change that will likely happen is the command rate from 1T to 2T. I do recommend testing the RAM out through SPD settings first to see what the BIOS auto-sets at. Once you see the settings, customize accordingly. This will save you the headache of resetting the CMOS.

yeah might have to do 2T but i run 8 gigs 1066 factory timings no problems.
