Can someone please list the Core 2 chipsets and their differences?

The Intel Chipsets are the 975x and the 965p. The 965p is the newer chipset "designed for conroe". It's got a faster southbridge and some other new, nice features. The downside is that it doesn't have an integrated IDE controller, so there's an extra chip on the boards to handle IDE. Not that big a deal. Those 2 are out now, some support xfire, depending on the board.

Then there's others. the ATI RD600 chipset will be coming soon and will feature 3 16x PCIe slots standard. Of course, xFire supported.

Also on the horizon for intel is the nVidida 590 chipset, which is what you'll want to wait for it you plan on going SLI.
