Previously, my OCZ Vertex 3 120GB drive was initially installed and used on a SATA2 port. With a new motherboard, I wanted to switch the drive to SATA3. I have tried OCZ Toolbox from Linux bootable CD to install the latest firmware (2.22) and apply the Speed Fix, but the Marvell controller on the motherboard still shows the drive as being capable of 3Gbps.
Do I need to perform Secure Wipe from OCZ Toolbox on this drive to bring it back to the initial state and 'initialize' it on the SATA3 port? Any suggestions will be appreciated.
