Hey guys. Sorry if this has been discussed before (it's difficult searching a term like AA).

But I've noticed in games that if I had global AA settings applied thru CCC (like x4 for example), that no matter what in-game settings I have selected for AA (off, 2x, 4x, whatever) the end result is... no AA! Go figure. Is this a known bug or what?

Actually I've only confirmed this with Fallout 3. In the past I've just used application preference settings. But I was curious to see how the various new MSAA methods perform and look. To no avail.

just check "use application settings" and select desired filter type.
e.g. if you select Edge-detect, and set 4x AA in game, the card is actually applying 12x edge-detect sampling.

Thanks for the reply. Do you know where I can get more information of the differences between the AA methods available... specific to catalyst? I've googled without much success. Is it just me or is ATI's documentation of their own features a bit lacking?
