It's been a while since I ripped all my CDs to MP3s, and a new stack of CDs is awaiting conversion. What are good conversion programs today to produce high quality mp3s?

LAME Command Line. I think you can create a batch file and just leave it to run on your WAV files. In Linux (Gnome Terminal) you can paste mutliple lines. I usually use the command:

--alt-preset standard

which will produce mp3's with around an average of 180 ... 220kbps. If you hate command line use EAC.

I'm fairly certain there are a couple hundred of these threads in this forum.

CDex
EAC.

I'm sure there are too. But after half a dozen searches through a dozen threads I gave up and asked again. Audio is just not my normal section on [H].

No problem, here are some threads.
Thread 2

Thanks, I've been using CDex in earlyer versions, looks like it's still up there. Will check out EAC.
BTW did you intend to show me what I subscribe to guru? I know that :).
