CHMOD in OSX

I need to change the CHMOD permissions for some web forums and I have absolutely no idea how to do this in OSX.

Does anyone here know how to do this? I've done countless Google searches and can't find an understandable tutorial.

Open Terminal (in the utilities folder), chmod mode path

Or get info (file menu, command-i) and change permissions.

or from terminal do sudo chmod with what ever modifiers you will be using, space then drag the item into the terminal window and it will put the path automaticaly in there for ya then hit return and they should update

Also, man chmod can be useful.

Thanks guys, this was giving me a real headache yesterday. Giggle, I almost had it right but I was dropping the folder into the terminal BEFORE doing the chmod. Thanks again.
