Circumaural Headphones as Make-shift Earmuffs?

As I was walking home from blistering cold last night, I thought of using my HD-485's as earmuffs of sorts (while also playing music through my mp3 player of course). My question is, will the cold outside damage them? It's a silly idea I know.

I wouldn't worry about it. Its not like they were designed for snow, but they should be fine.

I don't see a problem with it... but I think closed cans would probably be better earmuffs..

If you want some really good earmuffs, get some nice leathery ones like those bose...but don't buy the bose ones...just something like them

Sound quality is so-so, but the softness of the headphones is heavenly.
