Hi everyone,
A client of mine has an older Cisco SOHO97 ADSL router.
Works fine, but after changing ISP it needs edited, and no one knows the passwords, great.

So i have gone in and told it to restore the origional config, i think, but im unable to get into the web page for it. I know it could all be done in IOS but im lazy today and have too much to do. so if i can do it via a web config and not need to relearn IOS i'm gonna be happy :)

Any one know how to do it?

Cheers
G

The web interface for the IOS isn't that great on Cisco's, but here's how you do it.
After you setup the LAN, just type:
ip http server

once you get out of config mode, you should just be able to browse to it.

Thanks Jeff,
No can get access, but it just sits at "Loading Cisco Router Web Setup. Please wait..."

Anyone?

If I got you right, you need to bypass auth. as you do not have the password:

No need to put the device back to factory default, any Cisco device isn't protected if you have physical access to it. Follow that procedure, after that you will be able to login with default password and the config should remain untouched.

Any way, if you have lost the password you will have to follow this procedure before being granted the right to reset it to factory default AFAIK.
