clean install

Got my new E1505 today. I was going to go a clean install. I ordered a re install cd with mine(media center Edition) but im not sure if it has a ton of bloat software on that cd. I also have a xp pro disk i was thinking of using. Since this is my first laptop is there anything different i need to know for a install that a typical desktop install ?
