CMOS BIOS Issue

I have a computer im working on that will only post if I pop the cmos battery and then put it back in after 30 or so secs. If I shut the machine down and go to turn it on like 20 minutes later it wont post and I have to remove the battery and put it back in again to get it to post.

What gives here? Is it just the battery dead or is the mobo dead, what is dead, ehehh

instead of popping the cmos battery, try unplugging the power cable, hitting power with it unplugged, then plugging it back in and turning it on. Doesn't really fix your issue, but that works a lot better for me than popping battery usually.

That doesn't work for me. No one else has any ideas on whether or not its the mobo causing the issue or maybe just the battery? Don't wanna have to replace the mobo if not needed.
