Comparison between two CPU's for a macbook, opinions needed :)

Right now I have a 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo in my macbook, and I was looking at the macbook air configuration of an 1.8ghz dual core i5 in a macbook air?

How much of a speed difference? Is there a CPU hierarchy chart or something out there I could use? Thank so much for the help.

We need to know the model numbers of both chips

Is there a way to estimate based on the chip and speed? Assuming they are both mobile chips of course. I just am looking for a general roundabout idea, however a little more accurate than one is just "better" over the other hehehe
