Compatibilities questions for new Tv-tuner!

Hey guy's

Ok now to start off, I am about the get my very first Tv-tuner the
HAUPPAUGE 253 WINTV-PVR 500MCE PCI 2TUN WBOX (at my local pc store) witch includes:

-Extra Hauppauge A/V Cable Set
-Windows Media Controler

(Even tho I only have WINDOWS XP HOME).. Now I will be using the free software Girder to setup this MCE remote to BEYOND TV4. And I will be also purchasing:

-Beyond TV 4
-Beyond TV Link
-Beyond Media
&
-DivX Pro

Untill now is everything ok, will work great and compatible...Am I on the right track I mean ?

Also I had hear many rumours here that the HAUPPAUGE 253 WINTV-PVR 500MCE did not work with a few asus mobo's my current motherboard is the AMD64 S939 ASUS A8N-SLI NF4 PCIE will I get any problemes with this ?

I don't remember hearing any Asus mobo issues but I know that the drivers have issues with dual core CPUs, honestly it's not the card I would have picked but I hope you got a nice deal on it.

Same goes for Beyond Media, Snapstream has all but officially dropped it (although they'll still sell it ).

Anyways, yeah you'll do okay with what you've got (although I feel the money could have been better spent).
