The big program is the one that came with my motherboard. The other one is the temp program I've seen all over the place lately. So which one is closer to being accurate? I don't care if my CPU is running at 50 something degrees but this chip was 10 degrees cooler in my old motherboard, at least what the software reported.

Coretemp is the reading from the sensor inside the cpu, the system temp from the other software is most likely reading the temp from the mobo.

So technically, they are both accurate.

Okay, which one would more accurately represent the temperature of the CPU? I'm asking this because if I'm loading in the low 40s I'm going to try for a higher OC. When I'm in the BIOS the CPU is at 42 degrees.

According to traditional temperature readings, the software that came with the mobo would be more accurate.
