Could I add a pci video card for an extra display?

I currently have two displays hooked up to a Radeon 9700 (AGP). I'm buying an HDTV and would like that connected to the PC as well, but I want to keep the dual pc monitors.

Would I be able to hook the HDTV to the DVI port, one pc monitor to the spare VGA port, and the second PC monitor to a separate PCI card? Also what's the cheapest kind of PCI card I could use and where's the best place to buy..

Thanks.

I've never done this, but from what I understand, yes, you can plug a pci graphics card and have another monitor :)

well im not sure what the best card to use would be, but I can confirm you can do this, I Currently use a 7900GTX with a Voodoo 3 graphics card for 3 monitors and it works perfectly. Of coarse if you plan to use vista and what not, you might want to get a second graphics card a bit better than a Voodoo 3.
