I have this Acer computer. I made a system restore cd in Vista and it took 7 x 4.7gb blank dvds to save my current configuration. This is due to my installation of some PC games and that's why it took 7 blank dvds. I am wondering... if I use a 8.5gb double layer dvd, will it see it and create the restore cds on 4 x 8.5gb blanks? Or...depending on the Acer software used to create the restore cds, it does not matter and it will still see the 8.5gb disk blanks as though they were only 4.7gb disks?

yeah its if you have dual layer dvd burner and a program that does it then yeah you should be fine doesn't matter which dvd you have at least its on there its good enough and readable.
