I'm waiting till the end of the month to upgrade my video card for BC2. I'm willing to spend 200-250 I guess by then the prices should drop hopefully lol.
I'm unsure which cards should I get I'm looking for performance if the two 5770 ismore worth it I will go with that versus single card solutions

My current psu is a corsair tx650 w
AMD Pheonom II x2 550 1.4v 3.6 ghz
gskill 1066 2X2 4gb 2.0v
1 220-250mm fan
8 120mm fans
2 sata hdd
8 USBs being used

For crossfire enjoyment the HD5770 make a nice xfire set up. I have ran single HD5850 and 2 HD5770s in Xfire with the tx650w. That PSU worked well for my set up.

Don't plan on 5850 prices dropping much at all by the end of the month. Also good luck getting 2 5770's for $200-250 unless you are factoring in selling you current card

I'm running a similar setup to yours and I just installed an XFX 5850 today. Amazing card, can't slow it down no matter what I throw at it. I would have gone crossfire 5770's but I'm planning on setting up eyefinity tomorrow if my monitor off eBay shows up. I figure the extra memory bandwidth will come in handy for three screens. Bad Company 2 looks great, and I have it maxed out with 2xAA in multiplayer getting 45+ fps @ 1680x1050. Single player with VSync enabled and 8xAA is really good looking, they made the outdoor areas very pleasing to look at... and blow up!

I'd say depending on your monitors resolution and if you do not plan on using eyefinity right away then crossfire 5770's may be a good choice. I'm glad I got a super fast 5850 and so far it's worth every penny. :D

yea im factoring about selling my 8800 gt and the "price drop" which is suppose to be soon

two lanes..
one 16x another 8x. crossfire brings the 16x down to 8x

Oh yeah, Like rive22 asked what are your lanes? I'm redistricted to 8x8, P55 limit using Crossfire. My single card roks for the time being. If I had waited one more month, and save up a more $$. I'd gotten a single 5830.

Go with the 5850. You won't have to worry about crossfire scaling.
