Hey all,

First off, I realize this stuff will be mad crazy expensive and a lot of people aren't fans of DDR3 at this juncture because of price, so please no flames - I'm certainly not decided on it, but I'd like all the information at least. Does anyone know when we can expect to see some DDR3 2000 (PC3-16000) kits with 2GB modules instead of the current slim 1 GB offerings? Preferably with XMP. Just wondering if this is something right around the corner or still several months off. Thanks.

Thanks for the comments and good to know; other feedback also appreciated, especially if anyone's seen anything on the subject.

I don't know of any ICs that are hitting those speeds yet on a 2gb module. It will probably be a while. Since we are at 1600 now, I would expect a smaller step up in speed for 2gb modules before we leap up to 2000. Best guess is an 1800 or 1866 soon.
