Deactivate the automatic DVD drive opening from Vista?

Hey,

since I moved to Vista, one "feature" keeps on annoying me. When you click on an optical drive (by accident) that has no disk in it, the drive automatically pops out the tray. But since I have a case with a door, all it does is bump against the door from the inside and make scratches.

Is there any way to disable this function?

Thanks a lot in advance,
Tim

The automatic tray eject is part of the built-in burning functionality of Vista. You can't disable the ejecting unless you disable the built-in CD/DVD burning capabilities:

(Or just learn to not accidentally click on the CD/DVD/RW drive's icon, which is what I did. Or remove the bloody drive bay door, if you're a clumsy klutz who just can't help accidentally clicking on it.)

I find the 'auto-eject' to be a quite useful functionality, to be quite honest!
