Dead pixels?

I am new to lcd's and recently (4 months) purchased a "22 lcd. About a week ago I noticed two or three orangish red dots on my screen. I can feel the dots if I touch the screen, are these dead pixels?

Any way to fix them, I have read on here a method to press or rub the screen to remove them, didn't want to screw anything up unless I really know what I'm doing.

You can feel the red dots? It may be damage to your screen, dead pixels are pixels that do not produce color, from my experience a dead pixel will show up as white. There are a bunch of tests on the net to determine if you have dead pixels, try a quick google search.

You shouldn't feel anything. Pixels aren't mean to become 3D, afaik.

Try wiping off your screen.

Thanks, must have been something on the screen, maybe clean it with a damp microfiber cloth?
