I'm not much of a camera guy, but this looked pretty good to me. I'm fond of Kodaks.

How so? They were the first to develop the Digital Camera in '84.

The cheap ones at walmart suck, but their mid-higher line stuff is solid.

I hate seeing 80 bagillion MP cameras with 1x optical zoom. People think that the MP number is everything. They should just stop like processors did with their high GHZ numbers and work on other stuff instead of just making pictures larger, noisier, and blurier by saying 50MP.

Not degrading the OP, just my opinion. Bump for a deal.

I bought the canon SD800 for $250 at bestbuy and it makes the kodak look like a webcam in comparison.

That's what usually kills the deal for me too. Wound up with a 12x optical zoom--but only 3MP which is okay. Good starter camera.
