Dell 2405FPW quality vs 2005FPW quality?

I have a dell 2405fpw sitting next to a dell 2005fpw, although the 2405 looks awesome and very spacious, the quality on my 2005 is much better. The colors look more crisp and vivrant. For example if I have a white background on the 2005 it looks white as it should, if I have a white background on my 2405 it looks more creamy then white. It just seems like the overall quality of the picture is better on the 2005. Is this normal or is there be something wrong with my 2405?

I owned a 2005fpw before I sold it and purchased a 2405fpw. Initially, out of the box colors on hte 2405fpw did look washed out compared to the 2005fpw, proabably the higher brightness of the 24" LCD. I decided to use Adobe Gamma to calibrate the monitor, and boy what a difference it made. Colors are extremely punchy and whites look brighter. I recommend using a monitor calibrator like Adobe Gamma.

I fell in love with the 2405fpw all over again.

Well statistically the 2405 is wayyyyy better than the 2005. 1000:1 contrast ratio, 500 knits of brightness...etc. I don't have a 2005 to compare my 2405 to, but my monitor is VERY nice when it comes to colors and the black levels are pretty good (it's a LCD after all...).
