Dell 2407 HC won't come out of power save mode and...

and it just now entered power save mode and turned off on me right in the middle of me using it.

At first I just thought it wasn't turning on after vista (64) turned it off for power saving, thus making me hold down the power button to turn off my computer and turn it back on.

But just a minute ago, I was closing out of an excel spread sheet and it turned off on me and wouldn't come back on. Rig spec are in the sig.

Has this happened to any of you guys??

your rig isn't prone to crashing? a quick check would be to see if hitting capslock lights up the led on your keyboard the next time your monitor goes off and won't come back on.
if when you mean "turned off" as in the monitor power light goes out (ie no orange/green light, not in power save) then you have a faulty monitor. windows cannot fully turn off your monitor, only get it into standby.
i've had a monitor go into standby on me randomly long ago. turned out that my rig had crashed due to unstable memory (i had aggressive timings, back to stock solved it).
