Dell 2707wfp / Ps3 / HDMI Switcher - Will this work?

I'm trying to hook my ps3 and computer to my dell 2707WFP however there is just one DVI input

So what i'm trying to do now is get a HDMI switcher and stick both the ps3 and my computer (with a DVI to HDMI cable) and output the switcher to my 2707wfp (via HDMI to DVI cable)

My question is do I lose any clarity from my computer by using a normal DVI? Does my monitor even need dual link? Is there a much better way to do this?

dual link is for high rez 2xxx and 1600 isn't it?

An HDMI switcher would be fine. The ones from Monoprice.com seem to be pretty good.

Pkirk is right, you only need dual link for 2560x1600 or those new 2233RZ 120hz Samsung screens.
