I was looking at Dell's Day of deals assuming that such a promotion would deliver value.

Sony BRAVIA 52" KDL52V5100 120Hz 1080p LCD HDTV $1549

thirty seconds on google to check the price.

Sony BRAVIA V-Series KDL-52V5100 52-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV, Black $1356.77

I was looking at buying a laptop from them but after this I'm really starting to doubt their prices deliver value.

Dell has never had great prices on accessories and other things, no surprises there.

The only deals people get are when they do ridiculous stacking and such of coupons and promos.

I posted it as a warning. I have seen good dell deals in the past but I guess they have a different business model now.

Not exactly the appropriate place for a warning I'd think, as most of us would ignore it and evidently anyone who did a little research would know it was cold right off the bat.

Regardless, there's always fluctuations in the deals they give, be it because of recent price cuts, changes in inventory, new replacement parts, or what have you - this is the same across any store (a bunch of newegg's featured deals and even their shell shocker deals aren't very good/can be beaten elsewhere) so it shouldn't be that surprising.
