Dell goes full retard on video card advice for beginners

A PCPro article points out that Dell has a buyer's advice page that is extremely misleading, showing that a cheaper video card makes a monitor show a very blurry picture. The page has both US and UK versions:

Hmm. We never had problems with ours. It's the XPS 420 line that pisses me off...

Put another GPU in and then a trip to the hardware store BSEL MOD. Nice Stable Dell OC

actually they are somewhat correct if you are using a VGA adapter as the cheaper low end cards use poor quality components that can affect the signal quality of the VGA out. Unfortunately they do not make that part clear Signal quality should not be affected using a digital source but again you may never know and can wind up with other problems like an unstable imgage or artifacts caused by substandard work
