Dell S2715H good choice?

I would like to get my nephew a 27 inch monitor for his birthday. Right now I can get the Dell S2715H for $210. Would this monitor be good for gaming, like BF4 hardline etc.
 
I have one and quite like it. Just remember that with the glossy surface you need to be cognizant of light in the environment because reflections can be annoying. However the glossiness has plus sides as well such as extra-vibrant colors.
 
I actually picked one up. Can I ask you, does yours make a buzzing noise on white backgrounds? Whenever I have a white background, like say Google I get a buzzing noise from the monitor which is quite annoying. Mine came with no dead or stuck pixels, but it has some bad back light bleed on the bottom left side. I tried messing with the brightness to see if the buzzing would go away, but that didn't help.
