I have got the Dell SP2309W, does anyone know any settings that I should change?
I can't help you with your query but any chance you could take some shots of it and give us your impressions? I am looking to get one of these myself.
Best Buy has them now (the 23" and 24" versions).
I saw the 24" at the store, thought I saw a box for the 23" but maybe not.Did you see this on the website? I don't see the SP2309W on there.

S2409WIs there a SP2409w?
S2409W
There's a guy in the LCD setups forum who has one, he showed a couple of pics but that was it. Have you had a chance to take any shots of yours? How is it?
Its actually cheaper to buy the S2409W from Dell directly atm. Its $319 before shipping and tax, compared to BB's price of $379.

You can probably catch a sale on it. I walked in Staples before Christmas and it was down to 279 so I snatched it up.

$279 seems like a pretty fair display for the price. I'm putting together a new system with a Blu-Ray/HD-DVD combo drive and was thinking about this or the SP2309w....just like to see more user reviews
The 2309 is glossy but the 2409 isn't. It's amazing that they don't list this anywhere.Jima13 said:Am I correct in saying the screens for the 2309 & 2409 are glossy rather than matte? If so I'll probably have to spend a little more for the HP 2475. I'm currently using the Dell 2001fp in an area that gets a lot of glare and I'm afraid a glossy screen would reflect to much.

Thanks ToastyX.........I looked over all the specs too, but that's why these forums are great

Any comments on the viewing angle, brightness, general image quality and colour reproduction on the monitor?
How are you finding it etc? I am getting ready to jump on this but just want to be sure, I notice this is not part of the "Ultrasharp" range so wondering whether it's worth holding off until there is an updated version...
Ah, also you guys are talking about matte and glossy finishes, are you talking about the bezel/stand or the screen itself? Is the screen itself glossy? If it is indeed glossy how do you find it? Does it suffer from glare a lot etc?
It's pretty good, it is very clear. It may have a bit too much green but I am changing the settings to see if I can sort that out. The contrast and brightness are good.
I was talking about the screen, but the SP2309w does have a bigger and glossy stand. you can also adjust the heigh. which you cant do on the S2409w or S2309w. It is glossy but not as glossy as the HP screens. I like glossy screens it makes the picture more clear and nicer and the monitor looks better. I have a very bright room and there is alot of sun that comes throw the window. The glare is ok.
Gah! I was ready to pass until an Ultrasharp version arrived but your words might convince me to jump yet!
thanks for the pictures.
hows the webcam on it? is dells software for it any good?
Do you have a PS3 you can hook up to it and see how it scales the 1080p and 720p resolutions? Also, will it do 1:1?
Is there a Ultrasharp version?
Screw it, ordered one - arrives tomorrow.

Best thing is, 3 year warranty includes a "zero pixel defect" clause from these guys. So any isues of stuck/dead pixels and they'll swap it out.
