I'm having the problem that my desktop just wont start up, I log on into Windows as I do any day, the start bar flashes and then goes away and no desktop icons appear, I can still run everything and everything seems to be intact but I have to do it through the task manager and using my browser to view files (can't open IE). When I try to open explorer in the task manager nothing happens. Also it seems that explorer.exe is not running when I check.
I'm completly confused as to what I should do, so if anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated.
