Brent/ Kyle found a rendering glitch in Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory in their recent X850 XT PE review...

I found something that looks like the same problem back in NOVEMBER of 2004 (in fact I only got 315 views and 10 replies to date) in HL2, but nobody really seemed to care/take me seriously ... :eek:

IMHO it looks like the same thing...

The two are different. One is valves bad idea of how light would reflect off a shiney metal surface and one is color banding due to low precision shaders.
 
The two are diffrent.

Also, resizing pics would be nice

also. dont steal [H]Ard OCPs bandwidth
 
Yup, its low precision shaders...that answer was spot on...its the same in the xbox version,a nd worse in the PS2/gamecube versions.....looks like they didnt want to go ou of their way to program it differently (better) for the PC-lazy bastards....
