Hi all, I would like to know if it is possible that downloads are downloaded once as stand alone downlads and saved on disk, os as afterwards you can install them independentely on any other computer.

My situation is that once every week at least I have to reformat or install a new comp at work, we use windows 2000 as base os and a few xp's, the problem is that every time i have to download the updates etc etc and apart that it takes a lot of time even if everything goes smoothly, i don't know what the reason is but dammit connection is always resetted while downloading and before i begin downloading it always asks me for the same type of files to be installed *sigh*

anyone please have any suggestions?

Its called slipstreaming..use nlite

What you need to do is create a new disk to load from.. Nlite will allow you to incorporate all of the updates that are out there and then burn a new disk. So once you've done it once there are no more updates to apply each and everytime, and if a new update comes out then just create a new disk. Voila .. problem solved
