I don't know if I posted this here or not.. I'm clearing pictures off my camera and stumbled across these again.. so, yea, if I posted 'em before.. sorry! :p

A year ago I tore apart an old Dreamcast I had laying around and gave it a little bit of a facelift. I love anything that is open air.. gold, and wood..

It plays exactly as shown in the last few pictures .. I used a little bit of hot glue to keep the tray lid mechanism down at all times. Kind of neat to have the disc spinning with nothing around it.

DREAMCAST 4LIFE

I'd feel afraid that the CD laser was exposed.

One improvement is to replace the small fan with something larger and quieter.

I did this when I was younger, accidentally managed to short out the board. I was very sad. Regardless, this is very cool!

I Loved dreamcast played power stone, skies of arcadia, grandia 2, sonic, gigawing 2 and super robot wars.

I think it is a stupid mod (sorry), laser is not hidden and be careful when changing games, you might hit the PSU and kill yourself.

This is what I would suggest being proper DC mods:

-VGA output (you can make this yourself)
-SDmem connector soldered to the serial-port (you can play ISO/homebrew from SDcard)
-Lubing the gears of the GD-rom to quiet it down (make sure use right lube)
-Quiet the cooling system or improving cooling system of DC
-Adding a reset button
-Overclock (with a switch to go between stock and OC MHz)
