A friend just sent me the Seagate ST3160827AS hard drive.

It says the max operating temp is 140ºF.

It's been sitting in my mailbox here in Dallas for the last couple days, and the outside temperature was like 100~108ºF.

Do you think the drive mightve heated up too much and like screwed up in the heat? Thanks.

As long as you allow the drive to acclimate to the temperature where you will be operating it before powering it up, it'll be fine. 108F is a little over 40C, and well within the operating tolerances of the drive, let alone storage environmental conditions.
