I'm trying to set up a WRT 300N router in the same network as a WRT54G. So far no luck. I have run the CD that came with the 300 N router and it can't pull an IP.

Any Suggestions?

What are you trying to accomplish exactly. We need a drawing or more info at least. :)

If for some reason you wish to double NAT (yuck)..make sure one router is on a different IP range. But you won't have 1x network..it will be separated into 2.

Yea I want two separate networks to keep out folks. My landlord provides internet in the rent and insists to leave the wi-fi wide open. I think his wireless knowledge is limited and doesn't understand the nature of the features of the router. So he rather just not mess with it and I don't want to take the time explaining something when it's just going to go over his head anyway. So yea, I fixed it by changing 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.51 on one router. works like a charm now.
