I recently bought a Sony SXRD 50" and tried connecting it to my pc using a DVI to HDMI cable.

I'm able to display in 1080p and it looks awesome but the image is slightly zoomed in on the horizontal. The start button is missing and so is about 1" on the right. I can't seem to find a way to zoom it out. I'm using a 7800GTX and there doesn't seem to be any controls in the nvidia control panel to help me out.

My TV has the option to fix veritcal and horizontal offset but they're greyed out from the menu.

Any suggestions?

I'm having the same problem on my Samsung s4226w 720p display, if you figure out how to fix it on your Sony, let me know.

It's called overscan and it's perfectly normal.

You can change the overscan value, usually, in the video cards control panel.

I wasn't looking in the right place I guess :)

The setting is in the nvidia control panel. Under nview display setting->device setting button->HDTV overscan configuration.

Can anyone tell me where the overscan utility is in the ATi Catalyst Control Panel?
