ok... so got a build ready for my sister, but i have a few options for the psu. lowdown on the specs:

e2180 or e7200
ga-g33m-ds2r or biostar tp45 hp
2x1gb ddr2 ballistix or tracers
3x120mm case fans
20x dvdr
maybe a 9600gso

selections of psu:
Dynex DX-PS500W oem by huntkey 80watt efficiency. should do ok, as i hear it's supposed to do alright as long as i don't try to push it to it's max.
Antec smart power sl350 - old, not 80 certtified, pulled from a system that was flaky. is it better than the huntkey based one?
Seasonic m12 700- overkill?

You already have these power supplies in your posession?

There's no such thing as "overkill" so why not use the Seasonic?

I'd open that Antec up and look for bulging or leaking caps before hooking it up to any pc. As far as the Dynex is concerned it will do just fine in your low power rig. If the Seasonic is gathering dust then use it.

if it isnt Antec Erthwatts dont bother and yes 700W is far overkill IF it costs more, if it is the same buy it....

Corsair
Antec EarthWatts
Seasonic
Zalman

good psu's
