Well my D955XBK is dead now because the pins are bent :(. And now Im searching for a new motherboard to hold off till conroe. I wanted it too be really cheap so I looked at the ECS C19-A SLI (1.0A). Now I know its ECS (ugh) but this mobo seems pretty promising and pretty good quality. has 5/5 reviews on Newegg

Reviews saying its even got good OC ability.

It costs only 68 bucks
What do you guys say? Anyone else used this mobo?

edit: woops move to mobo forum?

If you want an SLI capable motherboard for under $100 then the ECS C-19-A SLI is a no brainer. If I were you I would couple that motherboard with an 805D and have some fun. Conroe will be out in July so going that route will be a money saver.

yea its pretty good. No need for a PD 805, already have a Pentium D 950 + the other stuff in my sig minus the Intel mobo :).

Question how did you bind the M/B pins. Don't tell me I bet you used AS5 . Ceramique is the way to go.

I feel his pain. I bent my pins on installing the damn thing!!! Im not a fan of the pins in the socket!!! I still think there is hope for the mobo, just have to put them back precisely where they make contact with the processor.

Sigh (trying not to think about the death of the mobo). This is probably the dumbest mistake I did :(. I bought a thermal take big typhoon heatsink. It has a pretty complex install and you have to install a backplate etc. I overtightned the screws, the thing was it did not feel very tight when I was screwing it in (fan could still move slightly), later when my comp stopped working (2 days later) I took the fan off and saw the pins.

Right now Im looking at for some mobos, either the ECS C19-a Sli, some Intel 945 mobo or a Intel D975XBX Rev 304 "Bad Axe" (Conroe support). Im just glad I still have everything else working even after smoke came out of the 6800 GS. It just sucks thinking that a 220 dollar mobo is now useless because of a few bent pins even though everything think else on theboard works fine  .

Until I get my system working again, im using my old one :

3.4C @ 4.0
1536 MB PC 3200 Ram
2X 160 GB HD
Intel D865GLC
Radeon 9800 pro

Pretty good considering its age but nowhere near my old one :)
