Email Programs

Hey all, I just got my gmail account set up and I was wondering if anyone knew of any good programs for personalizing email, such as adding animation, wallpaper etc... I've tried incredimail, which I cannot seem to get set up correctly, even though gmail has POP3 support. Any other prorams out there? Free would be nice also

Not free, but perhaps the very best out there. Read about it carefully, and don't dismiss it out-of-hand. This is the safest, most configurable mail client available. It's not big on the frills you seek, however. Security is its strong feature.
