I own a bunch of TV DVD box sets. I would like to start viewing them on my Windows Mobile cell phone while on the train.
What are some free solutions to encode them so that Windows Mobile can play them? I am willing to purchase AnyDVD HD if I need to allow a free program to access the content.

I use DVDFab to rip DVDs, there should be a free version.

I encode to XviD and X.264 with Handbrake.

I haven't done much searching yet so are those formats supported on Windows Mobile?

Doesnt Handbrake do this very nicely? And into various formats

Handbrake is great. For $30 badaboom works well for mobile devices but only works on an Nvidia card. I use both.

Badaboom works really fast if you've got an nvidia gpu. I use it for putting videos on my iphone and it's way way faster than anything else I've ever used.

Thanks for the suggestion. I do have an nVidia so I will give it a shot.

Bada bing, bada boom, ehhh fawghetaboutit
