I'm probably under powered as it is, but do you think this PSU has the capability to run a 4870X2?

If not, what would you recommend for the highest quality + lowest price. Probably a 750TX like every other thread...

Yeah, I think you're pushing it a bit trying to run a 4870x2. PC Power and Cooling silencer 750, Corsair TX-750, BFG LS-800 will all work fine.

No your PSU will not push a 4870x2. get the PC Power and Cooling 750 or the Corsair 750.

I concur with the people above me: No way in hell since it only has 360W on the +12V rail. So it's almost like a good 400W PSU. Considering that a HD4870X2 will use roughly 300W of power at full load, simply not a smart or good idea to keep using that PSU.

Wow. What an awful power supply... 360 Watts? I'm probably exceeding that as it is. I wish I had seen that review before ordering. I usually look at every one I can find too.

Or I could have done that. Maybe I wasn't as technologically inclined at that point in my PC building career.

True. I made a similar mistake when I bought an Apevia PSU. Didn't know at the time that Apevia were liable to kill a PC. Lost six hard drives that way.

Maybe I should learn from your mistake and go high quality.

Precisely. The PC P&C 750, Corsair 750 and BFG ES-800 are all high quality PSUs.

@ Zero82z
Yup, hence why I'm always here in the PSU subforum: to make sure that no one else goes through the same shit.

A vote for the Corair 750 here, I now have a 620 and a 520 from them and love them both.
