After I reboot my PC, my CPU idle temp is about 40 deg C. But if I suspend and then resume after a while, my idle CPU temp becomes around 52 C. It's weird, sometimes it takes a few suspends, but eventually my idle temp becomes higher. I checked that there is no CPU activity, it is the actual idle temp. The load temp also becomes higher by the same amount, so it's like the scale changes or something.

I have an Athlon X2 4800+, nForce 4 (EVGA), 8800 GT. I tried enabling and disabling AMD PowerNow in the BIOS but the problem still happens.

Sounds like Cool N Quiet (Power Now on notebooks) is stopping your fan when your computer goes in suspend mode. I see that you have already disabled it in the bios though. Weird...

Is this a laptop (I'm assuming it is since you said Power Now)?

No it's a PC. It's actually Cool N Quiet, I wasn't sure what it was called. I'll have to see if it actually does stop the fan or not, I didn't think it did.
