I was able to get my 3rd monitor with eyefinity on a 5750 with this adapter from new egg:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ..._re=displayport_to_vga-_-12-270-279-_-Product

When I plug it in I hear the windows chime and the monitor turns on and im able to use it with eyenity and the whole 9 yards. But as soon as i restart ONLY the two other monitors turn on and the 3rd on with the dp->vga adaptor stays off, even though windows windows still detects it.

So after every restart I have to physically disconnect it and connect it again from the video card, after that it works fine.

What can be causing this? the reviews on newegg say that the adaptor works just fine and none of them report this problem.

i have the lastest drivers and the two other monitors are connected via vga with a regular dvi adapter at the video card.

i have the same dp to vga / the only issue i have with it shutting the dp monitor off is if i let them go to sleep for an extended period of time

if i do i have to log off and back on

that being said... have you tried flashing the card with its most updated bios? i think i maybe might have read in another forum that that fixes issues with the 'adapted' cards

also which driver are you running... latest? beta? patched...?

This is a link to a forum that has a section devoted to the DP-VGA adapter. Maybe there is something in here:

www.widescreengamingforum.com >> FORUM >> Multi-Monitor Gaming >> ATI Eyefinity Discussions >> Threads of special interest for Eyefinity users

Also, SeaFoam has been trying to get the DP-VGA configuration to work:

Good luck.
