File deletion on android

I have an Xperia Arc (one of the originals)....it's onto 10 years now.I only use it as a phone / camera.....I don't even do email on it...
I have now discovered a new little symbol up top : "Low-On-Memory"

I have moved everything I can to SD, and I can't delete most of the apps I don't use because they are part of the bloatware.

That aside , it looks like the biggest memory user is the 'thumbnail pictures' in all my texts.
Is there some way to delete / move these ?

The phone is a year or two from death prolly, so I'm not interested in jailbreaking.

clear the cache and uninstall anything and everything you dont use or need, gps, a/v etc.

Thumbnails are likely linked to cahce. So yeah try clear the cache in recovery or in the system (depending on your OS version)
