Ok I am building my first computer and I have a q6600 (G0 stepping) and a 8800gt ssc. Although I have never overclocked in the past, I am in the process of learning and have friends who can help and I intend to overclock to 3.0 ghz first then to 3.2 ghz and hopefully to a max of 3.6 ghz if i become more comfortable. For my motherboard and RAM I have decided to get:

ABIT IP35-E motherboard:

G.SKILL 4GB(2 x 2GB) DDR2 1000 RAM:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231145

Well I heard that the stock fan for the 8800gt scc isn't very good so I must get a new heat sink fan. So I have decided to get a:

ARCTIC COOLING Accelero S1 VGA Cooler:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186016

ARCTIC COOLING Turbo Module VGA Fan:

Because I intend to overclock my cpu, having a heat sink fan for my cpu is suggest as well. So I have decided to get a:

Tuniq Tower 120 CPU Cooler:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835154001&Tpk=TUNIQ+TOWER+120

Well ive heard that that the Tuniq Tower 120 is awfully large and so I am worried if it will be too big for my motherboard. In addition, will the inclusion of Accelero S1 and the Turbo Module put too much weight /take up too much space on my motherboard (which already has the Tuniq Tower 120)? Is my motherboard too small for that matter?

Also I will be using a Antec P182 case and so I must ask will my motherboard, with the Tuniq Tower and Accelero S1 attached as well, be able to fit into my case?

In addition, will the P182 along with the Tuniq Tower and Accelero S1 provide adequate cooling for my first comp? I need this comp to last me many years and I dont want it to die early because it overheated because I didn't take care of it.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my thread and for hopefully responding as well.

If you are worried about the size of the Turniq Tower, would you consider trying a Thermalright tower style cooler like the Ultima series? They are light weight and easy to install and can overclock well. Personally I use the Thermalright Ultra-90 tower for its' size, cooling power and ease of installation.

Ohh good suggestion, ill read a few reviews and see how the Thermalright Ultra-90 does in cooling. Personally, I mainly picked the Turniq Tower based on the fact that in the CPU cooling review article posted here on [H] , the Turniq Tower had a great performance/price ratio.
