Ok i have this old computer at work that we use everyday that uses a floppy drive for the data. Well the disks are dying and the drive will give out some time. Is there something i can plug into the floppy cable to emulate a floppy drive, yet use modern storage like a flash drive? I only need it to be standard 1.44meg,

I've never heard of such a thing. I while back I think I've seen card readers that you inserted into the floppy drive; that's probably the closest you'll get.

Here are a few alternatives:

Migrate to USB flash drives and ditch floppies altogether

Replace the floppy disks on a regular basis - making sure to always have backup images of the floppy and multiple copies. Replace the drive when necessary.

Use software to vitually mount a floppy disk image
