Folding as a game?!?

I see this is out of the University of Washington. I wonder what kind of response they'll get?


 
Technically wouldn't the game take away compute cycles from the computers ability to fold?

I know the purpose is to get people interested in folding so this response is more of a /ha ha for us that are already interested in F@H.

They're actually getting a good response. All the top teams forums have a thread and they've already been slashdotted.
 
Maybe some random guy actually does develop some protein... I guess the whole point of this seems two-fold. Although I do agree that leaving it up to the dumb but very fast computer would be a good idea >.>
