Formatting for Doom3 install

I am thinking about doing a fresh install of XP before I can snag doom 3, this install is 6 mos old and been through a heavy oc testing session, you know oc it till it drops...so I am thinking a fresh install cant hurt...

anyone else freshening up windows?

If you really want to, that's fine, but I think it's ludicrously unnecessary unless you've genuinely made the install unstable, in which case you should format regardless. I've got a first-week install of XP in a box beside me that's never warranted maintenance on that scale.

I need to partition out more space on my c drive. I have like 2 gigs free right now.

I was thinking of doing the same thing tomorrow.
There are still a few days before I can pick up the game so I have plenty of time to get everything loaded up perfect. My hard drive is partitioned for 30 gigs for the OS and the rest for all my junk and it makes formatting that much easier

Good idea, dont forget all the drivers and updates, maybe partition the OS from Programs too.
